Work Order Capture lets employees record a Project Number and Work Order Number during mobile clock-in, transfers, and return-from-break workflows without requiring traditional job setup. This feature is designed for organizations that use project or work order numbers that are dynamic, externally generated, or too numerous to manage as jobs in WorkEasy.
How Work Order Capture works
When Work Order Capture is enabled and configured, employees can enter or scan project and work order values from the mobile app. The captured values are saved to the employee’s time segment, shown on the timesheet, editable by managers, and included in exports.
Work Order Capture vs. Job Costing
Work Order Capture is an alternative to managed Job Costing, not an add-on. A Reporting Hours profile can use either Job Costing or Work Order Capture, but not both.
Unlike Job Costing, Work Order Capture uses free-text values. It does not create, validate, or require a managed list of jobs, projects, or work orders.
