Web clock in and clock out

  • Requires Web Clock In/Out to be enabled in Reporting Hours (Global Settings > Time Tracking > Reporting Hours).

  • Can restrict access by IP address.

  • Restricted IPs can be denied or allowed and flagged.

  • When enforcement is enabled, non-compliant punches are blocked.

Mobile clock in and clock out

  • Requires Mobile Clock In/Out to be enabled in Reporting Hours.

  • Can use device local time or profile time zone.

  • Can require photo capture.

  • Can enforce or flag geolocation.

  • Can restrict access by device IMEI or device ID.

  • When enforcement is enabled, non-compliant punches are blocked or flagged based on configuration.

Kiosk clock in and clock out

  • Requires kiosk or time clock reporting to be enabled in Reporting Hours.

  • Can require photo capture (if configured).

  • Enforcement is applied based on kiosk configuration.

  • When enforcement is enabled, non-compliant punches are blocked.

Configure Reporting Hours for web, mobile, and kiosk clocking

  1. Navigate to Global Settings > Time Tracking > Reporting Hours.

                   

  2. Select the configuration level: Company, Group, or Employee.

  3. Enter a rule name.

  4. Set the effective start date. The rule applies only from this date forward.

  5. Configure the clock in and clock out type.

    • User selection requires employees to select Clock In, Clock Out, or Break.

    • Quick punch automatically assigns IN and OUT and does not allow breaks.

                   

  6. Configure shift limits.

    • Max shift length enforces the maximum work duration.

    • Max rest in a shift enforces the maximum break duration.

                             

  7. Configure daily hours allocation to determine how overnight hours are assigned.

                   

  8. Configure time code and note requirements as needed.

    • Assign a default time code.

    • Require employee comments or manager notes.

    • Disable Smart Clocking.

    • Assign a default pay entity.

                             

  9. Select allowed employee reporting methods. Any method not selected is blocked.

    • Web Clock In/Out

    • Mobile Clock In/Out

    • Kiosk or Time Clock

    • Manual or Automatic timesheets

                   

  10. Configure web clock in and clock out rules.

    • Allow all IP addresses, or restrict to approved IP addresses.

    • For restricted IPs, set the action to deny or allow and flag.

                             

  11. Configure mobile clock in and clock out rules.

    • Enable photo capture if required.

    • Enforce or flag geolocation.

    • Restrict by device IMEI or device ID.

                             

  12. Configure kiosk clocking rules if kiosk clocking is enabled.

    • Confirm Kiosk (or Time Clock) is selected under employee reporting methods.

    • Enable photo capture if required.

    • Apply kiosk geolocation enforcement rules based on configuration.

                             

  13. To select device local time or profile time zone, expand Advanced for time zone selections.

                           

  14. Select Save to apply the configuration.
