After Work Order Capture is enabled in Platform Configuration, configure it in Reporting Hours to make it available for employees using Mobile Clock In/Out.
Before you begin
Work Order Capture must be enabled in Platform Configuration.
You need administrator access to Reporting Hours.
Work Order Capture is available for Mobile Clock In/Out only.
A Reporting Hours rule can use either Work Order Capture or Job Costing, but not both.
Configure Work Order Capture
Go to Global Settings > Time Tracking > Reporting Hours.
Create a new Reporting Hours rule or open an existing rule.
In Employee Reporting Method, select Mobile Clock In/Out.
Select Work Order Capture.
Expand the Work Order Capture section.
Configure the available options.
Work Order Capture settings
Setting | Description |

Work order capture required | Requires employees to enter or scan at least one value before they can continue. |
Allow barcode scanning | Allows employees to scan a barcode instead of entering Project Number and Work Order Number manually. |
Barcode separator | Defines the character used to separate the Project Number from the Work Order Number in a scanned barcode. The default separator is a colon. |
Project Number and Work Order Number are free-text fields. WorkEasy does not validate the values against a predefined list.
When Work Order Capture is enabled, employees can enter a Project Number, a Work Order Number, or both. Both fields are always available and do not require separate configuration.
Save and assign the rule
Review the remaining Reporting Hours settings.
Click Save.
Assign the Reporting Hours rule to the appropriate employees, groups, or audience.
Important notes
If Work order capture required is selected, employees must provide at least one value before continuing.
If barcode scanning is enabled, employees can still edit scanned values before continuing.
If Work Order Capture does not appear, confirm that it is enabled in Platform Configuration.
If Job Costing is selected, deselect it before enabling Work Order Capture.
