Admins and managers can define shift differentials on this dedicated configuration page. They can create rules and specify whether the differentials apply by day or by week. These rules can also reference existing time codes (refer to Add Time Codes) to ensure the correct rates are applied.
- Go to Global Settings > Time Tracking > Shift Differential.
- Select the level for the rule: Company, Group, or Employee.
- Configure the rule: - Rule Name: Select or create a name for the differential rule.
- Effective Start Date: Choose when the rule begins (a future date), or leave as Immediate.
- Track Shift Differentials: Leave checked to enable tracking.
- Day Differential or Week Differential: Choose how the system applies differential periods.
- Advanced: - Employee timezone or Specific timezone: Select the time zone to evaluate the differential windows.
- Has recurrency (optional): Enable if the rule repeats on a schedule.
