Reset or Move a Kiosk to Another Device

A kiosk can be reset and moved to another tablet when a device is replaced, reassigned, or decommissioned. Resetting a kiosk disconnects it from the current device and returns it to a Pending activation state.

Resetting a kiosk immediately stops clocking on the currently connected tablet.

Before you begin

  • You have administrator access to WorkEasy.

  • You know which kiosk is currently active.

  • You have access to the tablet that will be activated next.

When to reset a kiosk

  • The tablet is replaced or upgraded.

  • The kiosk is moved to a different physical location.

  • The kiosk was activated on the wrong device.

Reset a kiosk

  1. Log in to WorkEasy.

  2. Navigate to Time and Attendance > Kiosks.

  3. Select the kiosk with a status of Active.

  4. Open the ellipsis menu.

  5. Select Reset.

After the reset:

  • The kiosk disconnects from the current tablet.

  • The kiosk status changes to Pending activation.

  • The activation code remains unchanged.

Activate the kiosk on a new tablet

  1. Open the WorkEasy Kiosk App on the new tablet.

  2. Enter the Company Code.

  3. Enter the existing Activation Code.

  4. Select Activate.

  5. The kiosk status updates to Active and is linked to the new device.

Troubleshooting

Reset option not available

The kiosk must have a status of Active to be reset.

Activation code fails after reset

  • Confirm the kiosk status is Pending activation.

  • Confirm the Company Code is correct.

  • Confirm the correct Activation Code is used.
