Use Reporting Hours to control whether employees can clock in and out using a kiosk, and which kiosk validations apply. For kiosk use, Reporting Hours determine whether Kiosk Clock In/Out is allowed, whether a photo is required, and whether geolocation or geofence rules are enforced. Reporting Hours rules can be configured at the company, group, or employee level.
This article explains how to configure Reporting Hours so employees can record time using the WorkEasy Kiosk App.
Before you begin
A kiosk has been created and activated.
Employees who will use the kiosk exist in WorkEasy.
You have access to configure Reporting Hours at the company, group, or employee level.
If needed, complete these first: Create a Kiosk in WorkEasy and Activate a Kiosk on a Tablet.
Navigate to Reporting Hours
Log in to WorkEasy.
Navigate to Global Settings > Time Tracking > Reporting Hours.
Create a new rule or select an existing rule to edit.

Choose the configuration level
Reporting Hours can be configured at three levels. Higher-priority rules override lower-priority rules.
Company applies to all employees unless overridden.
Group applies to defined departments, locations, or job groups.
Employee applies to individual employees.
Enable kiosk clocking
Kiosk access is granted by enabling Kiosk Clock In/Out under Employee Reporting Method in a Reporting Hours rule.
If Kiosk Clock In/Out is not enabled, the employee cannot punch on a kiosk.
You can enable multiple reporting methods, but kiosk punching requires Kiosk Clock In/Out.
In the Reporting Hours rule, locate Employee Reporting Method.
Select Kiosk Clock In/Out.
Select any other methods you want employees to use, or leave kiosk as the only method if required.

Configure kiosk validations
When kiosk clocking is enabled, configure any validations you want to enforce during punches.
Photo required
When enabled, the kiosk captures a photo at each punch.
Photos are stored on the employee timesheet for review.
Photos are not used for face recognition.

Geolocation and geofencing
Geolocation controls how kiosk location is validated during punches.
Geolocation Tracking (Optional) records location for reporting and does not block punches.
Geolocation Tracking (Required) blocks punches if location cannot be validated.
Enforce Geofence allows punches only within approved boundaries.
Allow / Flag Unauthorized Geofence allows punches outside approved areas and flags them.
Allowed geofences
Add one or more approved locations.
When geofence enforcement is enabled, employees must punch within an allowed geofence.

Important notes
Reporting Hours control whether an employee can use a kiosk.
Kiosk permissions control which kiosk locations an employee can access.
If multiple Reporting Hours rules apply, the priority order is: employee, then group, then company.
Next steps
After kiosk clocking is enabled in Reporting Hours, configure kiosk permissions so employees can access the correct kiosk locations.
