Activate a Kiosk on a Tablet

After a kiosk is created in WorkEasy, it must be activated on a tablet using the WorkEasy Kiosk App. Activation links a physical device to a kiosk record and enables employees to clock in, clock out, take breaks, and perform job transfers. All kiosk behavior, validations, and access rules are managed in the WorkEasy web platform.

To activate a kiosk, you need the Company Code and the Activation Code generated when the kiosk is created.

No additional configuration is required on the tablet. Authentication methods, validations, and access rules are enforced from WorkEasy.

Before you begin

  • The WorkEasy Kiosk App is installed on the tablet.

  • A kiosk has been created in WorkEasy.

  • You have access to the kiosk Activation Code.

If you have not created a kiosk, continue with Create a Kiosk in WorkEasy.

Activate the kiosk on a new tablet

  1. Open the WorkEasy Kiosk App on the tablet.

  2. Enter the Company Code.

  3. Enter the Activation Code.

  4. Select Activate.

  5. The kiosk status in WorkEasy updates to Active and the kiosk is linked to the device.
