What are the different Clock In/Out methods available?
Inferred (Quick Punch): Employees use a single button that automatically toggles between In and Out.
Explicit (User Selection): Employees choose from In, Out, Break, and Transfer. These options are always available.
What does Max Shift Length mean?
Max Shift Length sets the maximum duration (default: 12 hours) an employee can be clocked in. It starts with the first punch and ends with the last punch of the day. Exceeding this limit splits the shift to avoid errors from forgotten punches.
Example:
8 AM–7 PM = complete shift
8 AM–9 PM = system splits into two incomplete segments
How is Max Break Length used?
This defines the longest break allowed within a shift (default: 12 hours). If the break is longer, the return punch is treated as the start of a new shift.
How are hours allocated across overnight shifts?
Start of shift (Leading day): Hours go to the day the shift began.
End of shift (Trailing day): Hours go to the day the shift ended.
Where it falls (Split overnight): Hours split by actual work dates.
Day of more hours: Hours assigned to the day with the most time worked.
What is the default time code for recorded hours?
All hours are assigned the Worked Hours time code by default.
