Manage Employee Punch Restrictions

Prev Next

As a manager, it is crucial to ensure that your employees clock in and out within the established guidelines. This practice maintains accurate records and supports smooth operations. Punch restrictions serve as an effective tool to control when employees can clock in or out, preventing early or late punches outside their scheduled times.

To begin implementing punch restrictions in WorkEasy Software, first add shifts to the Scheduler. If you require assistance, refer to our guide here: Add and Assign Shifts to the Scheduler. Once that is established, follow the steps below to configure your punch restrictions.

To Set Up Punch Restrictions

  1. Navigate to Global Settings > Time and Attendance > Punch Restriction.

  2. Choose whether to apply restrictions at the Company, Group, or Employee level.

  3. Make the applicable selections. If no selections are made, employees will be required to clock in exactly at the start time of their scheduled shift.

  4. Click Save.
