iPad (iPadOS)
Minimum OS: iPadOS 13.4 or higher

Network requirements
The Kiosk App requires an active internet connection at all times on Wi-Fi or a mobile network (LTE/5G).
Minimum internet reliability requirements:
Stable connection with minimal dropouts
Recommended upload and download speeds: 5 Mbps or higher
Avoid networks that require frequent re-authentication
The Kiosk App does not allow offline punching. Punches are not queued or stored locally when the device is offline.
Storage requirements
Maintain at least 500 MB of available storage for app data, punch logs, cached employee profiles, and photo storage. Keep this space available over time to prevent performance issues.
Camera requirements
The Kiosk App uses the tablet’s built-in camera to take photos when employees clock in and out. Photos support punch auditing and help reduce buddy punching by enabling manual review.
Facial recognition is planned for a future release.
Power requirements
Keep the tablet connected to a reliable power source.
Use surge protection in busy or industrial areas.
Do not rely on battery power alone. Low battery can reduce performance and increase the risk of kiosk downtime.
Device configuration guidelines
To support reliable kiosk use:
Disable auto-sleep or extend the sleep duration.
Set screen brightness to a level that supports consistent visibility.
Keep the front camera clean and unobstructed.
Avoid cases or screen protectors that block the camera or create reflections.
Keep the operating system updated to the latest stable version supported by the device.
Security requirements
These practices help prevent unauthorized use and reduce kiosk downtime:
Use a dedicated kiosk device when possible.
Place the tablet in a safe, monitored location.
Use a locking enclosure.
Limit access to the Kiosk App using one of the following options.
Use Guided Access (iPad).

Use App pinning (Android).
