Configure Scheduling Alerts

You can configure alerts to notify users about scheduling-related events, such as unfilled shifts or unmet staffing criteria. This helps ensure shift coverage and proactive scheduling adjustments.

  1. Go to Global Settings > Scheduling > Alerts, then click Add to create a new alert.



  2. Select whether the alert is for a Manager or an Employee. Most alerts are manager-facing and pertain to open shifts and staffing metrics.

  3. Select the Alert type. Click the dropdown to view available alert types. Options include:

    1. Open shift filled/unfilled

    2. Critical open shift filled/unfilled

    3. Staffing filled/unfilled

    4. Publish required

    5. Criteria guarantee

  4. You can choose between detailed or summarized views depending on the needed information.
     

  5. Name and enable the alert. Give your alert a descriptive name and set it to Enabled Yes or No.


  6. Assign to a Plan by choosing the Schedule Plan to which this alert applies. Each alert must be tied to a Company Schedule or a New Schedule.


  7. If applicable, click the Alert parameters cog wheel to configure specifics. Make your selections, and click OK.

  8. Choose Recurrency type and Time Zone. Decide how often the alert should run:

    1. Daily

    2. Weekly

    3. Monthly*

    4. Advanced*

  9. Click Save to activate the alert.

*Monthly: Use this option to trigger alerts on specific days of the month.

  1. Choose the day(s) of the month you want the alert to trigger (e.g., 21).

  2. Set the time for the alert (e.g., 1:00 A.M.).

  3. Specify How far ahead to look and a Time range for evaluation.

  4. Select your Time Zone.
     

*Advanced > Recurrency Months: Customize recurrence across multiple or specific months in the year.

*Advanced > Recurrency Days: Choose specific days, weekdays, or a combination of day rules for alert delivery.
