Pay Period Overview

Pay Period Overiew FAQ

Commonly asked questions involving the Pay Period Overview (also known as the Timesheet)

Punches submitted from employees' mobile devices do not show on their timesheets

When this occurs, the employee is most likely attempting to clock in outside an established geofence.  The punch becomes frozen and can be recovered to enter the timesheet.  See Frozen Punches for more information to find and recover these punches.

How to change the displayed output on Timesheets

It is possible to change which Time Codes appear and in which order they appear on timesheets.  For steps to adjust this output, see How to Modify the Pay Period Overview.

How to view original times

If "Show Original Clock In/Out times" is enabled, punches cannot be edited.

1. On the left side nav, select the Timesheet to modify.

2. On the upper left corner of the timesheet, select the  icon to open preferences.

3. Under General, select "Show Original Clock In/Out times" to change the view of punches to their original state (before rounding rules or manager changes have been applied).

Punches for a single shift are displayed on two separate lines

When punches line up similar to the image below, this is usually caused by the employee working beyond the allowed time for a single shift found under Reporting Hours.

To increase the maximum time allowed in a shift, follow these steps:

1.  On the bottom left corner of the nav, select Global Settings

2. From the drop-down menu of Time and Attendance, select Reporting Hours.

3. Identify the applicable rule for the employee.  Click the icon to edit the rule.

4. Increase the Max Shift Length

5.  After changes have been made, a new rule name is required.  The new name must be unique from the previous names (once the new name has been entered, hit enter on the keyboard to save the name).  To make these changes affect previous dates, be sure to change the Effective Start Date to before those dates.  Select Save.

Check back to the Timesheet in question.  The system will adjust and set the punches to the same shift.  If the punches did not adjust, please contact our support team at (888)-783-1493 for further assistance.

Changing the day of the week the Pay Period begins
