The Announcements feature helps you communicate timely messages to employees via the WorkEasy web portal, mobile app (with push notifications), and supported time clocks.

Use it to share policy updates, events, staff changes, benefit deadlines, reminders, and more.

Who can send announcements?

  • Super Admins: Full access by default.

  • Managers: Can create announcements only if granted the Manage Announcements privilege.

How to grant access

To allow a manager to send announcements, go to User Access > Security Groups, select a group, and enable the Manage Announcements platform privilege.

How to create a new announcement

  1. Go to the Announcements tab and click + New Announcement.

  1. Enter a title and message. You can attach a PDF, image, or link if needed.

  1. Use the toggles to:    

    • Schedule when it goes live or expires

    • Pin it to the top of the feed

    • Require employees to acknowledge it

Targeting your message

You can send announcements to:

  • Everyone

  • Specific group(s) such as locations, departments, or positions

  • Specific employees

Where announcements appear

  • Web: Icon and banner at the top of the screen

  • Mobile app: In-app view with optional push notification

  • Time clocks: Xenio and Face Recognition models only

What employees can do

When an employee opens an announcement, they can:

  • Pin it for quick reference

  • See how many employees acknowledged it

  • Acknowledge receipt

  • Download attachments

  • React using emojis

  • (Managers only) View who received it

Need to update or remove a message?

Use the three-dot menu on an existing announcement to Edit or Archive it.
