This article explains the Notifications experience in WorkEasy Software, including how to access it, what appears on the page, and how to review and act on notifications from one location.
Notifications uses a dedicated page instead of the previous notification dropdown. The page organizes notifications into categories, shows a list of notifications for the selected category, and displays full details in a panel on the right.
Notifications are grouped into category cards at the top of the page.
Selecting a category filters the notification list.
Selecting a notification opens its details in a panel on the right.
A Mark all as read button allows users to clear all unread notifications in the selected category at once.
Background processes can now be tracked from the same page.
Notification preferences are now part of the notification page.

Notifications are generated by different areas of the system, such as approvals, scheduling activity, open shifts, background processes, and configuration-based notifications. Some notifications may also be delivered by email, depending on how the feature is configured.
Category cards
When clicking the notification bell icon, the Notifications page is displayed. Selecting a category card displays the notifications for that category. Each card includes a label, icon, and count. Card colors help distinguish notification types visually.
Category names vary based on system activity and configuration.
Notification list
The notification list displays the notifications that belong to the selected category. Each item may show the notification title, date, time, or other relevant summary information. Unread items are visually distinguished from notifications that have already been opened. Use Mark all as read to mark all unread notifications in the selected category as read at once. If additional notifications are available, scroll through the list to view more items.
Details panel
Selecting a notification in the list opens its details in the panel on the right. The panel displays the full notification content and any available action for that item. Opening a notification marks it as read and updates the unread count.

Select a category card.

Action-required notifications
Some notifications require a user response, such as approving a request or reviewing an item that needs attention. The exact category names may vary based on the feature and configuration.
Background tasks
Background task notifications display system processes such as exports or other system-run activities. These notifications may show a processing status, such as In progress, Completed, or Error.

Time off requests and approvals
Scheduling activity and open shifts
