Archive allows you to deactivate or terminate employees, who will then be Inactive or Terminated and removed from the active Employee List.
Inactive mainly applies to seasonal employees or contractors who may be hired again. You may also select this status if you immediately want to make a person inactive. You will be able to change this status to terminated later.
Terminated applies to individuals whose employment with the company ceased by the employee's choice (resignation) or the employer's decision (termination).
To deactivate an employee
Navigate to Employees > Employee List.
Select the person you wish to deactivate and click Archive.
The employee will no longer be seen on the Employees list. To find the archived employee, click the Advanced Filter icon.
You can find the employee by:
Entering the ID number or the employee's name in the field Search for ID or Name
Selecting Inactive and Terminated for Employee Status
Selecting Archived for Archive Status.
Click Save. You will then also have the option to locate employees by:
Going to the employee directory.
Going to the employee list.
To terminate an employee
Click the employee’s name then click Employment.
Select Status > Terminated.
Select the reason(s) for the termination.
Select the checkmark to save.
To rehire or reinstate an employee
In the Employment Status section, select the pencil to enable editing.
Select the Active status.
Select the hiring date and click the checkmark.
Click the ellipsis and select Recover.
Refresh the page for the changes to apply the changes.
