Where you'll see these formats
Decimal format (e.g., 7.5) – used in reports, exports, and payroll.
HH:MM format (e.g., 7:30) – used in timesheets and manager views.
Both represent the same amount of time. Choose the one that works best for you.
Change your timesheet display
You can switch formats for your own view in the timesheet.
Go to Time and Attendance > Timesheet > Preferences.
Under the General section, look for View in decimals.
Check or uncheck the box based on your preference.
Unchecked = HH:MM (e.g., 7:30)
Checked = decimal (e.g., 7.5)
This only affects how you see time; calculations stay the same.
Need time in decimals for reports?
Admins can turn on decimal formatting system-wide.
Go to Settings > Platform Settings > Platform Configuration > Time and Attendance.
Check Use decimal representation.
Choose how many decimal places to show (e.g., 1 = 7.5, 2 = 7.50).
This will apply to reports and exports.
