You can create and manage different time-off types to fit your company’s policies. These types define how employees request and track their time off, such as vacation, sick days, or jury duty.
Add a new time-off type
Go to Global Settings > Time Off > Time Off Types.
Click the three dots > Add.
Enter the details for the new time-off type:
Name: The name of the time-off type (e.g., Vacation, Jury Duty).
Code: A unique identifier for reporting and tracking.
Balance Type: Select how the hours will be handled.
Balance is tracked: Employees have a set number of hours (e.g., vacation, sick) that are deducted with each use.
Balance is not tracked: Employees have no set number of hours (e.g., jury duty, appointments).
Unawarded hours: Employees are eligible for hours but have not yet received or used them.
Comp Time Off: Overtime hours can be converted into paid time off as compensatory time.
Description: (Optional) Add details about when and how this time-off type is used.
Click Save.
Once saved, the new time-off type appears in the Time Off Types list. From here, you can add more types, edit existing ones, or archive them if no longer needed.
