Recommendation Engine Overview

The Recommendation Engine is a tool used for recommending employee shifts to managers when adding a Schedule Plan. Setting up the Recommendation Engine consists of 3 parts:

Recommends the most eligible candidate for a schedule plan. Uses historical data to recommend shifts based on selected rules.

Part 1: Recommendation Engine Rules

Navigation:

1. Click to open the Global Settings

2. Click Recommendation Engine to expand the options and select Rules

Rules List - Presets

Long Term - full year (12 months)
Medium Term - 6 months
Short Term - 3 months

Rule	Description
Absences	Recommends employees with minimum absences
Accepted Open Shifts	Employees that have accepted the most open shifts
Early Departures	Employees with the fewest early departures
Late Arrival	Employees with the fewest late arrivals
On-the-job Experience	Employees with the location/department/position most relevant to the schedule plan
Scheduled Hours (Current Week)	Employees with the fewest hours scheduled for the current week (highest availability)
Seniority	Employees with the largest length from the Employee Hire Date

Negative - Less qualified if you have more hours or time

negative, employees start at 100% and are lowered based on eligibility

positive, employees start at 0% and are increased based on eligibility
