This article outlines the Sleep Timer functionality, configuration, and requirements. ### Sleep Timer Functionality **Note:** These instructions do not apply to the **Xenio M2000** or **Xenio P3000**. To set the sleep timer on these devices, see [Set the Sleep Timer on the Xenio M2000 and Xenio P3000](https://help.workeasysoftware.com/docs/sleep-timer-setup-for-xenio-m2000). 1. Once the Sleep Timer duration is reached, the screen will dim to the lowest possible setting to conserve energy. 2. The Time Clock will wake up when: - The LCD is touched. - A card is presented. - The biometric sensor is touched. - A face is presented (F1000 devices only). ### Configuration for Xenio Devices (2.0 Platform) #### Adding the Sleep Timer Option **Location in Settings:** 1. Go to **Global Settings > Devices > Time Clock Settings**. 2. Select **Create Rule** and define your audience (**Everyone**, **Specific group**, or **Specific time clock**). 3. Expand the **Display** section and select **Sleep Timer**. Available Values: - - **Off** - **5 minutes** - **15 minutes** - **30 minutes** - **1 hour** **Default Value:** The default setting for **Sleep Timer** is **1 hour**. ![](https://cdn.us.document360.io/88d7ebef-752e-45d9-95e1-ee13bd7279c5/Images/Documentation/image-RGAIRSQ4.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T14%3A10%3A47Z&se=2026-11-01T15%3A10%3A47Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=hqMtc8kEyZPwJPzYQLcTfPaKrGFtxOz87Z14GpnDZmI%3D) ### Requirements for Sleep Timer Functionality - Devices must be updated to the latest firmware version. - Devices running older firmware versions will **not** support the Sleep Timer feature. Ensure all devices are up-to-date before configuring Sleep Timer settings. **Troubleshooting** - **Sleep Mode Not Working:** 1. Confirm that the device firmware is updated. 2. Recheck the Sleep Timer settings in the **Display** section. - **Device Does Not Wake Up:** 1. Verify that the wake-up triggers (LCD, card, biometric sensor, or face) are functional. 2. For F1000 devices, ensure face recognition is correctly configured.
