How to Manage Employee Punch Restrictions
As a manager, ensuring that your employees clock in and out within the set guidelines is essential for maintaining accurate records and smooth operations. Punch restrictions are a great tool to help you control when employees can clock in or out, preventing early or late punches outside their scheduled times.
To get started with punch restrictions in WorkEasy Software, shifts must first be added to the Scheduler. If you need help with that, you can check out our guide here. Once that’s set up, follow the steps below to configure your punch restrictions.
Setting Up Punch Restrictions
-
Navigate to Global Settings > Time and Attendance > Punch Restriction.
-
Choose whether to apply restrictions at the Company, Group, or Employee level.
-
Make the applicable selections. If no selections are made, employees will be required to clock in exactly at the start time of their scheduled shift.
-
Click Save.
