How to Create Payables and Assign Them to Timesheets
Payable Types, or Payables for short, are classifications used to categorize and record various types of wages and expenses employees may incur during work hours. These can include tips, gas, or other miscellaneous payments. Follow the steps outlined below to add and assign payables to employee timesheets.
Creating Payable Types
- Navigate to Global Settings > Time Tracking > Payable Types.
- Click Add and enter the applicable Name, Code, and Category. By Unit is optional.
- Categories: Tips payable or Expense
- By Unit:
- If not selected, the payable is reported in dollars.
- If selected, the payable is reported in units.
- You will then have the option to edit or archive existing payable types or create new ones.
- Next, refer to Assigning Payables to Timesheets.
