How to Create a Pay Schedule in BambooHR
This document provides the steps needed to ensure your pay periods are accurately defined and aligned with your organization's payroll needs.
- Log in to BambooHR and click the gear icon.
- Click Employee Fields.
- Click Pay Schedule > New Pay Schedule.
- Configure the pay schedule as needed and click Add.
- To verify if the new pay schedule has successfully been created, log in to WorkEasy Software or refresh the page if you're already logged in.
- Click Global Settings > Integrations > BambooHR.
- Click Connected Accounts > Edit.
- Verify that the new pay pchedule is showing and map it accordingly. For more details, go to How to Map Data and Sync Employees between WorkEasy and BambooHR.

Changes made to an existing pay schedule after it has been mapped can impact both current and future payrolls, potentially causing discrepancies in pay periods, missed payments, or errors in tax calculations. Editing a pay schedule is not recommended due to the risks it poses to data integrity, historical records, and payroll accuracy. To avoid these issues, if changes are necessary, itβs best to create a new pay schedule. This approach ensures smooth payroll processing, helps maintain accurate records, and minimizes confusion for employees. Additionally, making changes to an established pay schedule could complicate audits and may inadvertently violate legal or contractual agreements.
