Example: - **Full Day:** 8:00 - **Half Day:** 4:00 With this configuration: - A full-day time-off request deducts 8 hours. - A half-day request deducts 4 hours. The Work Hours Definition is also used as a reference for reporting, accrual calculations, and day-based time-off conversions. > **Important:** Review federal, state, and local labor laws before configuring work hours definitions. Some states, such as California, apply daily overtime rules after 8 hours worked in a day, while other states may allow alternative schedules such as four 10-hour workdays.
