Use this article when a Shift Pattern is assigned to a Team or Sub-Team, but an employee's recurring schedule does not appear on the schedule calendar.
Why this happens
A Shift Pattern generates schedules only when the employee meets these requirements:
The employee belongs to the Team or Sub-Team selected in the Shift Pattern's Audience.
The employee is assigned to the Schedule Plan associated with the Shift Pattern.
Important: Selecting a Team or Sub-Team in the Audience is not enough. The employee must also be included in the associated Schedule Plan.
Example
A Shift Pattern targets the fictional North Warehouse Sub-Team, but its Schedule Plan is assigned to the South Warehouse Sub-Team. Taylor Morgan belongs to North Warehouse, so the Shift Pattern cannot generate Taylor's schedule until the Schedule Plan is aligned with North Warehouse and Taylor is included in that plan.
Resolve the missing schedule
Identify the affected schedule. Record the employee, expected date or date range, Shift Pattern, Team, and Sub-Team.
Open the Shift Pattern. Review the Shift Pattern that should have generated the schedule.
Review the Audience. Confirm that the intended Team or Sub-Team is selected.
Verify the employee's assignment. Confirm that the employee belongs to the Team or Sub-Team selected in the Audience.
Correct any Audience mismatch. If authorized, assign the employee to the intended group or correct the Audience selection.
Review the associated Schedule Plan. Confirm that it references the same intended Team or Sub-Team as the Shift Pattern's Audience.
Verify the Schedule Plan assignment. Confirm that the employee is included in the Schedule Plan.
Correct any Schedule Plan mismatch. If authorized, align the plan with the intended group and include the employee.
Confirm both requirements. Before testing, verify that the employee matches both the Audience and Schedule Plan conditions.
Verify the result
Review the employee and affected date range on the schedule calendar.
Confirm that a schedule generated by the Shift Pattern appears.
Make sure the visible schedule was generated by the Shift Pattern and was not created manually.
Note: Correcting the assignments may not automatically create schedules that were previously missed. If the schedule is still absent, contact Support before manually recreating a recurring series.
If the schedule is still missing
Contact Support when the employee meets both requirements but the Shift Pattern still does not generate the schedule. Include the following information:
Employee name and ID
Expected schedule date or date range
Shift Pattern name
Audience Team or Sub-Team
Associated Schedule Plan
Employee's current Team, Sub-Team, and Schedule Plan assignments
Screenshots of the Audience and Schedule Plan configurations
Whether any visible schedule was generated automatically or created manually
Time of the test
Steps completed after correcting the configuration
