Manage Dashboards and Widgets

This article is for managers and administrators who want to customize their WorkEasy.team dashboards. You can create multiple dashboards, add or configure widgets, and remove dashboards or widgets you no longer need. This flexibility helps you organize information so the most relevant data is always in view.

Create a new dashboard

To create a new dashboard:

  1. From the Dashboard screen, select the dropdown next to the current dashboard name.

  2. Click Create New Dashboard.

  3. Enter a Title for the new dashboard and select Ok.

  4. Click Save Changes to confirm.

  5. The new dashboard will show in the drop-down.

Rename or remove a dashboard

To update an existing dashboard:

  1. Select the gear icon in the top right corner of the dashboard.

  2. Choose Rename Dashboard to change its title, or Remove Dashboard to delete it.

  3. If removing, confirm your choice. The dashboard will be permanently deleted.

Add a widget

To add a widget to your dashboard:

  1. From the Dashboard, select the gear icon and choose Add Widget.

  2. In the Widget Gallery, browse or search for the widget you want to add. Categories include Time and Attendance, Scheduling, and WorkEasy-specific options.

  3. Select the checkbox for your desired widget.

  4. Click Apply to add it to your dashboard.

Configure a widget

Every widget has a Settings option to adjust what is displayed. To configure a widget:

  1. Hover over the widget and select the more options menu (three dots).

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Adjust the available fields and filters as needed. Options vary depending on the widget.

Example: Employee Status widget

  1. Click the gear icon and click Edit dashboard.

  2. Select the Employee Status menu (three dots).

  3. Click Settings.

  4. In the settings window:    

    • Enter a custom Title for the widget if needed.

    • Select a Status filter (Working, On Break, Out, No Show, or Scheduled).

    • Choose how far ahead to display upcoming scheduled employees (for example, within the next 5 hours).

    • Choose how far back to display employee status history (for example, within the last 12 hours).

  5. Click Ok to save your changes.

Remove a widget

To remove a widget from your dashboard:

  1. Hover over the widget you want to remove.

  2. Select the more options menu (three dots).

  3. Choose Remove Widget.

Best practices

  • Create separate dashboards for different roles or functions (for example, Manager Dashboard and Admin Dashboard).

  • Keep only the widgets you use frequently to make your dashboards easier to scan.

  • Use the Employee Status widget filters to focus on the time periods and statuses most relevant to your team.

  • Review your dashboards regularly and adjust settings or remove widgets as your needs change.
