# Configure Geofence Enforcement in Reporting Hours

You can ask employees to clock in and out only at approved locations by using **geofences** with the **Reporting Hours** rules. This feature combines the **geofence** capability with **Reporting Hours** to help ensure that location-based attendance policies are followed. Just a friendly reminder, geolocation tracking and geofence enforcement work exclusively with Mobile Clock In/Out.

1. 2. Go to **Global Settings > Time Tracking > Reporting Hours**.
3. Click **Create Rule**.
4. Select the rule’s audience: **Everyone**, **Specific group**, or an **Specific employee**.
5. 7. Check **Enable Geolocation.**
8. Select one of the options for **How should location be tracked?**
9. Toggle on **Use geofences**.
10. Select the radio button **Allow & flag outside geofences** or **Enforce geofences**.
11. 12.
