8. Breaks
Initial Setup Wizard Part 8: Breaks
Breaks
To prevent future issues, we strongly recommend completing the Initial Setup Wizard with the assistance of our Onboarding Team.
1. Do you track breaks? (Ex: Lunch, Meal Break, Rest Break, etc)

If yes, click .
2. Are employees required to Clock In and Out for breaks?
If no, click and Automatic Breaks will be enabled (Employee breaks will automatically be deducted after a specified number of hours). For more information visit Automatic Break Overview.
If yes, click and you will have three break options to choose from.
3. Break Options
- Time of Day: Employees will only be allowed to take a break during the specified break window. For example, between 1 PM and 2 PM. Click here for more info.
- Worked hours: Employees will only be allowed to take a break after working a specified number of hours. Click here for more info.
- Floating break: Employees are allowed to take breaks at any time during their shift. Click here for more info.
